Mike Higgins

Hello, I'm Mike Higgins. I was born in Liverpool, England, immigrated to Canada as a youngster. A native of the Hamilton area for most of my life, I attended McMaster University for a number of years studying Sociology.

While I also had training in the electrical trade, I found my niche in real estate and began in the field during the late seventies. Working for a large franchise group, I eventually became the office manager/sales trainer. Searching for a break in the rat race, I relocated to this area in the late eighties. A friend and I bought the Maple Leaf General Store amd I opened my own small Real Estate Company.

County living provided me with the inspiration to take up gardening in a big way. My gigantic sunflowers were once featured in the local news. I am also an avid musician, you may have seen me perform with bands from Hamilton to the Ottawa areas.
